The 2nd Okinawa International Conference on Longevity

The 1st Okinawa International Conference on Longevity (OICL) was held in November 2001 at the G-8 Summit 2000 Conference Hall, where the meeting of the presidents, chancellor and prime ministers of world's top seven economic powers was held.
This year, the 2nd OICL will be held at the conference hall of the Royal Society, London, UK, on June 16-18, 2004. The Royal Society is considered one of the most prestigious and oldest scientific societies in the world. Founded in 1660, with more 60 Nobel Prize winners to date. Fellow members in past included such intellectual giants as Newton, Faraday, Madame Curie, Roentgen, Pauling, Fleming, Pasteur and Einstein, to name a few.
Perhaps, many people are wondering, if there is a relationship between Okinawa (Longevity Conference) and the most distinguished society in the world, the Royal Society. In response to this question, the answer is, there was a "historical link" with the Royal Society. The "link"of ancient Okinawa to the Royal Society, and to longevity and health will be part of my presentation.
Aside from this, there will be a scientific photo exhibition depicting ancient Okinawa: people, culture and history of the longest-lived people. Okinawan longevity is also attributed to their ideal public health system in the world. The lifestyle, customs and mores, traditional diet of Okinawan elderly, are also associated with longevity.
To the participants and delegates, let's ALL enjoy the unique experience of learning longevity culture and wellness, and at the same time imbibing the highest intellectual ambience that the Royal Society could offer for more than 340 years of continuous existence.
